Richard, a 40-year-old bachelor, has decided to overcome his overwhelming shyness so that he can at last get the courage to talk to Catherine, the woman he's loved in silence for many years. He tries hypnotism-therapy, hoping to escape his ever-present mother, his demanding dog, his sleazy boss.... and himself. Will Catherine finally notice him or will he stay invisible to her and the rest of the world?
